I was mesmerized when I found Wildcat Falls – it was a little hidden from the roadway, but it is worth the steep decent down to get a water level view of! Right after I shot this spectacular waterfall, I was inundated with a pretty nasty storm, so I have good memories with this waterfall. It stands about 15 feet tall, but the layers on the waterfall make for especially fantastic photos. It’s certainly one of my favorite waterfalls in the state, and certainly one that you will not want to miss!

Wildcat Falls is located just off of Wildcat Road. Drive on US-19 onto Route 50 (Wildcat Road) in Lewis County. This goes by the small community of Ireland, which is neat to see on its own. Drive onto Wildcat Road for about 2.5 miles, and the waterfall will be on your right. There is a pull-off large enough for one vehicle. You will be parking at the top of the falls, and the walk down to the bottom is steep. Take it slow or bring a rope! I did not bring a rope and was fine, but just be warned! The view though from the bottom of the falls on Glady Creek is worth it!
